Terms of Use
Atlas Kingdoms Educational Gaming Platform
Effective Date: September 1, 2025
1. Platform Agreement and Scope
By accessing atlaskingdoms.com and participating in our educational programs, you're entering into a binding agreement with Atlas Kingdoms. This isn't just legal paperwork — it's the foundation of our learning community.
Our platform focuses exclusively on game development education through social casino game creation. These are entertainment games for learning purposes only, with no real money wagering or prizes. We're here to teach JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and game engine fundamentals through hands-on projects.
You must be at least 18 years old to register for our programs. We've found that younger students often struggle with the intensive coding requirements and professional development aspects of our curriculum.
2. Educational Content and Intellectual Property
All course materials, video lectures, coding exercises, and educational resources remain the intellectual property of Atlas Kingdoms. However, we believe in practical learning — any games or applications you build during our programs belong to you.
Here's what you can and can't do with our content:
- Use materials for your personal learning and reference
- Share concepts and techniques you learn with others
- Build upon the skills for your own commercial projects
- Never redistribute, sell, or republish our proprietary course materials
- Avoid sharing login credentials or course access with others
When you submit projects for review, you grant us permission to use them as educational examples for future students. We'll always ask before featuring your work prominently.
3. Student Responsibilities and Academic Integrity
Game development education requires genuine effort and original thinking. We expect you to complete assignments independently unless specifically designated as group projects.
Academic Integrity Policy: Plagiarism, copying code without attribution, or submitting work that isn't your own will result in immediate program suspension. We use code similarity detection tools and manual review processes.
You're responsible for maintaining your account security, attending scheduled mentoring sessions, and meeting project deadlines. Our autumn 2025 cohorts have structured timelines that depend on everyone progressing together.
If life circumstances affect your ability to participate, communicate with your assigned mentor early. We can arrange extensions or program transfers, but only with advance notice.
4. Certification and Program Completion
Atlas Kingdoms certificates are issued upon successful completion of all required projects and assessments. These represent your demonstrated skills in specific technologies, not guaranteed employment outcomes.
To earn certification, you must:
- Complete at least 80% of assigned coding exercises
- Submit three portfolio-quality game projects
- Pass technical assessments with 75% or higher scores
- Participate in peer code reviews and group discussions
We don't promise specific salary increases or job placement rates. The tech industry values demonstrable skills over certificates, which is why our programs emphasize building real applications.
5. Platform Usage and Acceptable Conduct
Our learning environment thrives on respectful collaboration. Harassment, discriminatory language, or disruptive behavior toward instructors or fellow students isn't tolerated.
Technical usage guidelines include maintaining reasonable bandwidth consumption during live coding sessions and avoiding attempts to access restricted areas of our platform.
We reserve the right to suspend accounts for violations, though we prefer resolving issues through conversation first. Most problems stem from miscommunication rather than malicious intent.
6. Limitation of Liability
Atlas Kingdoms provides educational services to help you develop programming skills. We cannot guarantee employment outcomes, specific career advancement, or income increases based on program completion.
Our liability is limited to the program fees you've paid. We're not responsible for indirect damages, lost opportunities, or career outcomes beyond our direct educational services.
Technology infrastructure occasionally experiences downtime. While we maintain robust systems, internet connectivity and server issues sometimes affect access to course materials.
7. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
These terms are governed by Canadian federal law and the laws of British Columbia. Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in Vancouver, BC, rather than court proceedings.
Before formal dispute resolution, we encourage direct communication with our student success team. Most concerns about grading, program content, or technical issues can be resolved through dialogue.
We may update these terms as our educational programs evolve. Significant changes will be communicated via email at least 30 days before taking effect.
Questions About These Terms?
